After failing to find a set of current, official Local Enterprise Partnership GIS files for England, I decided to create one based on the current Ordnance Survey Opendata “BoundaryLine” data, and the breakdown of their Local Authority members published on Wikipedia.
I’ve tried to ensure the names of the LEP’s have been matched to those generally used by the ONS so should integrate fairly easily with any officially published statistics.
The files can be downloaded by clicking here
Its a little over 5Mb and contains a set of shape files. In case you need it, they use the same OSGB projection that all OS products use:
- OSGB 1936 / British National Grid, EPSG:27700.
- +proj=tmerc +lat_0=49 +lon_0=-2 +k=0.9996012717 +x_0=400000 +y_0=-100000 +ellps=airy +towgs84=446.448,-125.157,542.06,0.15,0.247,0.842,-20.489 +units=m +no_defs
If you plan to use the files, you will need to acknowledge that its based on OS OpenData, and these files are shared under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license.
The full OS Opendata licensing information is available here.
